So the last lessons for 2020 are finished!!  What a weird year.

I am looking forward to 2021 and will be loading more repertoire and online resources onto my student portal, so if you haven't gone in and had a look then take some time over the holidays to check it out and explore.

For those students who returned to lessons in 2020 you will have received lesson notes from time to time - I hope you like this feature that my website provides - I think it is a great way to keep track of your progress in lessons.  I am really looking forward to hearing feedback from my students on how this is helping them and how they are using the student portal resources.  I haven't yet had a student log their practice time - so I am looking forward to that!!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - keep smiling, keep singing and I will see you all next year.

I am so excited!♫! To be offering individual and small group (up to 3) lessons for young singers ages 5 - 12 years.  

I have been spending my time while in lock down looking at all of my singing lesson resources and I have now collated and sourced additional songs to support teaching younger singers.

Up until now I have been encouraging younger singers to join groups such as SPACi Young Ones (8-18 Years) or Little Ones (4-8 Years) and their school choirs to building their singing and performing skills until they were in high school when they could choose to take up individual lessons and work on preliminary and graded level music. 

I have been running the SPACi programs for 8 years now with Tracey Erkelens, and have focused on building resources and activities to support this group approach.  Many of the older Young Ones (12 - 18 years) have taken up individual lessons to further develop their singing knowledge and abilities to perform solo and confidently perform in shows along side of the adults. Now, I have resources and songs suitable for the younger ages to lead them into more difficult music and to encourage solo and small group singing.

I will continue to strongly encourage singing in groups as it is a great way to build young singers musical ability especially their ability to sing in parts, in harmony, and build their social and emotional skills by working together to create music.  

More options to learn different music, more opportunities to perform, so I am sure you can see why I am so excited ♫

NOTE: Due to COVID restrictions all lessons are currently delivered remotely over ZOOM.  I will be resuming face to face lessons when it is safe to do so.
